About Us

SummerRunningCamps.com was started by three college friends and teammates. Heidelberg University alums Dan Graber, Dan Simpson and Greg Zumberger look to pass their knowledge to future star distance runners! Due to the limited media attention given to American distance running, we believe it essential to be ambassadors of the sport, passing our experiences to future athletes for the betterment of our sport and communities. We express a desire to create a setting where the philosophies that have helped take our teams to the next level may be shared with younger runners of all abilities and backgrounds. In addition, we expect campers to leave with more knowledge, motivation and passion for the sport they love.

Summer Running Camps.Com launched its first endeavor in 2009 with the Northwest Ohio Distance Running Camp, hosted by Defiance College. With the camp's large turnout and even more interest brewing for future camps, there was great potential for expansion and camps were hosted at Camp Willson (Bellefontain, OH) and Centre College (Danville, KY) in 2010. In 2011, Summer Running Camps.Com will be hosting three exciting distance running adventures for young men and women in grades 7-12 - the Mount Union Camp (hosted by the University of Mount Union in Alliance, OH), the Centre College Camp (hosted by Centre College in Danville, KY) and the Orange Crush Camp (hosted at YMCA Camp Willson in Bellefontaine, OH).
