Dara Ford Returns to Speak at Mt. Union Camp!

We're extremely excited to announce John Carroll University Head Men's and Women's Cross Country, Track & Field coach (and Mount alum) - Dara Ford - will again be speaking and co-directing our camps this summer!

Like co-director Dan Graber, Ford is a Massillon Perry High School alum, graduating in 2001.  She then went on to graduate from Mount Union in 2005 with a degree in Biology.  While at Mount Union Ford set two cross country course records (Alma College and Otterbein College, respectfully), was 2-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference on grass, 2-time All-Great Lakes Region, a member of 2 OAC Championship teams, ran at the NCAA National Championships 3 times - twice as a team, once as an individual, was a 3-time Academic All-American and Academic All-OAC.

On the track she set 4 schools records.  The indoor DMR (1600 leg), the 5k outdoors (17:52.99), the 3k Steeple (11:12.2) and indoor 3k (10:20.6).  For was 4-time All-OAC and a 2-time NCAA provisional qualifier in the steeplechase.

As a post-intercollegiate athlete, Ford began work as an assistant coach at Mount Union from 2005 to 2007 before serving as graduate assistant at John Carroll University for one year (2007-2008).  In 2008 she was named head track and cross country coach at JCU.  In track, Ford works primarily with the 200/400, hurdlers, and steeplechasers. She's going into her 4th season at JCU.  Her 3rd as the head coach.
